Well, I bought a pair of Tibets three field Seasons ago after doing a web search for Off Trail Backpacking Boots. I had a temporary hitch in my giddyup and had decided to buy some better boots (I had been rolling in work boots from the feed store for several field seasons). Anyway I am wearing the Tibets right now. Tread maybe is a bit worn. The waterproofing has worn off of course... They are still in fair shape though. I followed those up (but never threw out the originals) with a pair of Hunters and they seem pretty good now, sliced them a bit on some obsidian but otherwise they look pretty good still, though have been spraying herbicide in them so they have a bit of blue dye. I tend to wear my field boots as my main shoes period. Something I carried over from only having one pair of tennis shoes at a time as a kid. So mine tend to get worn out faster. Anyway I just bought a second pair of Tibets a few minutes ago. I recommend them, they seem to keep my feet better...

I was having problems on long hikes with blisters and jamming toes on downhills. These boots fit very well, and I have had no problems. Haven't had them long enough yet to comment on their durability, but they are doing quite well so far.

well..actually i have nothing to say, Lowa boots almost has no cons ))
initially i bought Lowa Ranger, they performed well in Altay conditions. also i used them when hunting in Russia in winter. i was amazed by the quility and decided to buy Lowa Tibet which is almost the same model bot for little bit worse conditions. so everything i mentioned below about Ranger could be applied for Tibet. at the moment i just got package with Tibets and reluctant to use them on hunting because ..they look so new and good ))
what features i think are especially good:
- easy to put on and put off
- very convenient to wear. my brother also took Tibets and use them even in day to day life in winter. especally if temperature is -20c
- very durable. i do not use any impregnation. very often i do not even wash em )) but they r still in perfect condition
- holds foot ideally. walked using them across the rotes which has sportive grades. my backpack was 34kg. there...
